In Philippine nursing information practices, information technology is useful in the hospital as this gives the doctors and nurses alike the access of information on each patient regarding their diagnosis, medication needed and current status of their health. Like before giving the medication, using a bar code read to read the patient's hospital bracelet to ensure identification and medication being given.
To promote security of health to the society, information is the key. By communicating to our clients regarding current health issues through internet or if they do not have such technologies in their area, we can go to the said area and bring our equipment and present to them proper techniques regarding health via PowerPoint presentation using projector or make a DVD educational presentation and play to each household and making copies and give to people or to health care workers in the area and let them present it.
Clinical information system in nursing informatics are integration of various systems that manage clinical data from a variety of healthcare environments, and made available in a timely and orderly fashion to aid nurses in improving patient care.
I can balance my technical skills and taking care of the patient manually, is by being there with the patient. Keeping the human connection as this could also help determine if there are undetected issues not picked up by the computers, like neurological assessment. Physical assessment is still the effective way in discovering neurologic abnormalities diagnosed in the patient. Skill mastery still is important in our practice as nurses.

Also, TeleHealth can be very useful to patients who have chronic conditions. In some instances when someone has a chronic condition that requires consistent monitoring or they are homebound with a stroke, a TeleHealth program allows them to be seen by a specialist. Being a public policy maker, a policy that I can recommend is to let the government know how important the public's health is. To focus more on our health care system and how important each high-end equipment is. If they want to continue to corrupt the people's money, how will they continue to corrupt if the people are dying and the service of the hospitals are poor. If there are no healthy people, the country will be poor and thus eventually the country won't be able to afford anything without the people.
